Laminate
A combination of different substrates, whereby the individual characteristics
of each material result in an optimally suitable finished product. For example,
the sandwiching of an aluminum foil and a polyester film produces a product
which is completely opaque (from the aluminum) and extremely tear-resistant
(from the polyester).
