Application of Double-sided Adhesive Products
When mounting pictures onto wooden, cardboard or plastic carriers we recommend
that a double-sided adhesive should first be applied to the carrier before the picture is laminated.
a) Preparation of the carrier
• Measure the short side of the carrier and select the correct roll width.
• Apply around one centimetre of the double-sided adhesive product to the carrier.
The edge of the carrier and the roll must be parallel.
• Apply the adhesive film, using a squeegee, roller or soft cloth to smooth the film
down from the middle to the edges.
• Use the cutter to remove the overlap.
b) Mounting the picture on the carrier
• Fold back around one centimetre of silicone paper.
• Centre the picture and apply gentle pressure on the adhesion joint, moving slowly
from the middle to the outside.
• Place one hand under the picture and gradually remove the silicone paper, at the
same time smoothing the picture down from the middle to the edges.
